High Quality Carbon Shell Design

Full Carbon saddles are notoriously stiff, the Kit-One saddles utilizes “State of the Art” Carbon Composites,Weaves and Resins that allow the shell to have small amount of controlled flex and great vibration dampening properties.

A rider who is in shape and rides regularly will be well toned and more suited to this style of saddle, with such a minimalist design. these ultra-firm saddles will often give better comfort than soft cushiony saddles, while still being miraculously light!

One of the most pleasing consequences of the carbon fibre saddle shell design, is that it allows the saddle to made with thinner denser lighterEVA foams and the foam actually performs better than they normally would,as the foam moves with the shell and reduces pressure points from building up and packing out under pressure from the rider. The EVA foam used in this saddle is only about 5mm thick it gives some extra suppleness to the Carbon Fiber shell and combined with the synthetic leather cover to give you more saddle grip than a traditional carbon fiber saddle with no cover or padding.

Braided Carbon Rails

Both Kit-One saddles run a Braided Carbon Rails – these rails are extremely light and flexible, great for reducing jarring and vibrations. The rails are bonded into the saddle shells, it is not a pressure fit like traditional saddles where the saddle rails are pressed into the plastic saddle shell, so the chance of unwanted noises or movement are eliminated. These rails are endowed with more shock absorption and strength than Titanium, Alloy or Steel saddle rail options.

 

Road Rider/Racer focused Product

These saddles are intended for riders with committed riding styles that ride with their weight on their hands and feet in the proper Road Race Position where you are more Aero and the majority of your leg muscles are more activated (like a crouching tiger), in this position you are also narrower and lighter on the saddle – and more dedicated to the “task at hand” ripping-down the road as fast as you can. The Ride quality offered from the saddle is very precise and feels fitted, the firmness of shape gives you a much more solid base to work from so less slipping back and forward and much less side to side movement, this helps you focus on your core muscle strength while riding so you will have a more stable platform to work from and turn out some nice high-watt cadence. This style of saddle is popular with professional riders not only for weight but also will also often give them better comfort as well.

FAULTY CLOTHING GOODS & WARRANTY

The Big Ring has well established quality manufacturing standards and it is always our intent to deliver best possible high-quality product to market, but unfortunately on rare occasions a fault may occur. If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us at warranty@bigring-cycling.com with detailed photos and descriptions of the fault. The Big Ring reserves the right to repair the garment if possible.

WARRANTY PERIOD CLOTHING

All The Big Ring garments are sold with a 12 month warranty, from the date of purchase. Claims for warranty must be made within this period. Please Note: generally, not following the washing instructions outlined by The Big Ring will reduce the lifespan and increase the wear on your cycling kit.  Wear and Tear, accidental damage, wear caused by clearly not following the care instructions will not be covered. The Big Ring is only responsible for product that we directly sell to you, if you have purchased through distributor or retail outlet other than The Big Ring you take back to your original place of purchase with relevant proof of purchase details.

We want you to get the longest possible service life out of your new riding kit – If you knew how much work we put into getting the perfect cut and the best possible high-performance materials you would be pedantic as well.
  • If you want your special kit to last as long as possible – do the following: WASH YOUR CYCLING KIT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER RIDING – sweat can be corrosive and break down the high elastic content in the material - The sooner the material is purged of the sweat the longer it will last.
  • Washing - You can hand wash - but we recommend cold to medium water temperature 30ºC degrees maximum. Machine wash on delicate cycle with the cycling kit placed in a delicate’s bag or wash the cycle clothing by itself. Turn the clothing inside-out, seams on the outside and zip up the Jersey fully. The use of a delicate liquid detergent is best, something that is specified as gentle – “Wool Mix” is a good gentle detergent to use. Also, don’t put the detergent directly on the clothing. Once Clothing has gone through the delicate wash cycle remove the bicycle clothing from washing machine. DON’T LEAVE WET IN THE MACHINE – It is also best not to select spin cycle it can be aggressive. Machine washing is best because it will do the wash cycle each time in a controlled gentle way when selecting the correct DELICATE CYCLE. Do not use fabric softeners.
  • Drying - Sun/UV is hard on everything – high elastic materials can suffer a bit more than other materials so don’t put them on the line to dry outside - also don’t put them into an electric dryer as the high heat can also weaken the elastic content of the material. Hang in-side or in the shade out of the sun to drip dry. NEVER PUT IN THE TUMBLE DRYER
Please note: Cheap, low-quality powdered detergents can cause discoloration of garments as detergent will often not be sufficiently dissolved prior to contact with fabrics. Damage of this nature will not be covered under warranty.

THE BIG RING RETURNS POLICY

We will happily provide size exchanges or full credit for full priced items returned to us within 30 days from date of purchase. Sale items or full priced item returned outside 30 days you will have the option for a store credit.

Notes:

  • Refunds and store credits are for the value of items returned - this does not include shipping costs.
  • Goods must be returned “as-new” in a saleable condition and be unworn, unwashed and complete with all original tags and in original packaging.
  • Drop us a quick email to returns@bigring-cycling.com we will send you out a return form.
  • Please make sure all returned items are well packaged and make sure to include a copy of your original proof of purchase and the return form, the size you would like to exchange for or if you would like a full credit. Make sure you keep a copy of your tracking number for the returned post and a copy of your proof of purchase. The Big Ring cannot take responsibility for items lost or damaged by transport companies.
  • The Big Ring can only accept returns for purchases made from The Big Ring website and not from our retail partners or other on-line sellers. Please contact your place of purchase for details of their returns and exchange policy if you purchased your goods elsewhere.
  • Please also note that while items qualifying for free exchange will be shipped back to you at The Big Ring’s expense, we are unable to cover the costs of return postage/transport from you.
  • Exchanges are sometimes dependent on stock availability. Should an item be out of stock or discontinued at the time of return an item of the same value or a store credit will be issued to you.
  • Some of The Big Ring items like the matching Kit Shoes and matching Kit Frames are very special products. They are made to order by hand by our skilled bespoke manufacturing partners in very limited production quantities. Because they are made specifically for you with 8 week lead times we have rationalised the inventory process to the bone. This is so we can bring the unique bespoke limited release cycling kit to you with very reasonable pricing and that really helps expand the scope of match kit on offer considerably. A 30 Day – Return policy on these special-order items is not available so with these items please make sure you get your sizing right. Warranties, if they occur, will be handled on a case by case basis on these items.
