Super Flex – Mesh Side Panels – We all want a Pro-Fit, but what you might not be aware some of the Top-End Pro Teams have custom individually hand-crafted clothing, which can be done by any clothing brand on case by case bias – The real skill is making a production Jersey that is going to deliver great fit across a set size range to suit most riders that will not “break the bank”. Super Flex – Mesh Side panels are highly elastic, combined with our signature Anatomical Aero Cut and the best 3D Honeycombed highly flexible super fine yarn materials deliver a fit and quality feel that is very hard to obtain.

Italian Fabric – Quality fabric will wear better and offer improved fit and feel. The fabric we use is milled in Italy and is highly engineered, and is tested to very strict international standards for quality control, before it enters our factory, if any of the following criteria’s don’t come up to the advertised high specifications we don’t use it – specific Mass/Weight, Density, Thickness, Elasticity, Dimensional Stability, Pilling Resistance, Abrasion Resistance, Snagging resistance, UV Resistance, Air Permeability – QUALITY COMES WITH SUBSTANCE

Breathability Micro Capillary Channels – The Breathability of material is paramount to the overall performance of the Cycling Jersey, Cycling is a unique sport as the intensity of workout achieved by an inform cyclist is huge, just like a high-performance car we benefit from extra cooling, your core temperature goes up – performance goes down rapidly. At 35km plus your biggest obstacle is the AIR you are pushing through, Aero is important! But the cooling effect of the Air you are pushing through is often forgotten about and is one of the reasons us riders can push so hard on the pedals (we are well cooled) compared to say runner pounding their body and only going 12km average. The more effective the Cycling Jersey material is at moisture wicking and breathing in the right areas the faster you will go!

Flat Aero Waist Griper – Positioned at the front of the Jersey gives more of seamless layering between you and the bib shorts it has a slight rubberized feel with light compressive ribbing for a comfortable compressive feel that holds flat to the body. Ribbed Compression Sleeves with Laser Cut Ends– This material is so good we actually postponed the release of our new Kit-Onerange until we could get this new technically superior material in production quantities. Longer close-fitting sleeves is a trend derived from Time-Trialing. As sporting fabrics have evolved breathability, compressive flexibility and strength have considerably improved over the materials we could source only a decade ago. The “longitudinal-ribbing”placement along the length of the sleeves ensures you have a much greater range of flexibility while still having comfortable amounts of compression around the circumference of your arms. (no more sleeves flapping in the wind = speed). The ends of the arm hole fabric are finished with a laser cut, to seal the fabric and give a seamless super flat aero finish. Your arms get the sun and wind, the extra cover and compression is welcome addition to any rider look for that little bit of extra performance.

4 x Rear Pockets – Layering, Money, Phone, Food are essential to your cycling journeys, pockets to carry them in are just as important, the center pocket is double layered with a locking external zip that has aninternal cam action on the zip puller so once zipped up and flipped down your coffee money is staying with you no matter what the road throws at you.

Reflective BlackSide Tabs– LED lights are crazy bright these days, but every little bit helps especially if lighting equipment fails, the Reflective black tabs are barely noticeable in the daytime but shine a light at night and they seriously light up, this is solid manufactured material not a cheap reflective ink that will deteriorate and fall off. A nice little add-on that will make your ride safer every time without impacting on the overall look of your Jersey.

Strong YKK Lockable Zip –YKK Zips are the number one maker of zips in the world, we could spec zip that looks the same at half the price, but it would be half the quality. We have specified a full hidden Zip design as it gives a seamless full graphic with aero finish to the font of the Jersey, the zip goes the full length of the Jersey for easy fitment and extra cooling if required. We feature a Zip with a locking cam feature, in the pulling position it has the cam disengaged, with The Big Ring Zipper Pull tab facing down it’s in the locked in position no slipping, so you can custom regulate exactly where you want the zip to stay open-to for additional cooling if required – It’s the little-things that makes difference.

UVA and UVB sun protection – Decent rides are 2-3hours on average, that is a significant time to be exposed UVA and UVB sunlight. The sunlight that reaches us is made up of two types of harmful rays: Long wave ultraviolet A (UVA) and short wave ultraviolet B (UVB). UVA rays penetrate deep into the dermis, the skin’s thickest layer. Being unprotected leads to premature skin ageing and even suppression of the immune system. UVB burns the outer layer of your skin and can play key role in skin cancer. Please Note: Riding in the hours between 10:00am and 4:00pm are the peak hours of exposure.

Temperature Range – The Big Ring Jersey Range willwork in temperature 15°- 37°Degrees Celsius, the comfort level will vary of course with intensity level of your workout and the climate/temperature that you operate in, layer with appropriate base layers for hotter or colder conditions for improved thermal control. Outer Layers are required for colder conditions starting with cycling vest, then arm warmer and legwarmers for conditions in the 7°- 14°degrees Celsius. Temperatures below 7°degrees Celsius we recommend cycling booties, full length thermal cycling bib shorts, thicker warmer base layers and high quality breathable shell jackets and vest. In extreme heat conditions 30 Celsius plus Lightweight Sun Protection Sleeves can be beneficial for cooling and sun protection.  This is rough guide everyone has unique needs, just remember layering gives you options.

FAULTY CLOTHING GOODS & WARRANTY

The Big Ring has well established quality manufacturing standards and it is always our intent to deliver best possible high-quality product to market, but unfortunately on rare occasions a fault may occur. If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us at warranty@bigring-cycling.com with detailed photos and descriptions of the fault. The Big Ring reserves the right to repair the garment if possible.

WARRANTY PERIOD CLOTHING

All The Big Ring garments are sold with a 12 month warranty, from the date of purchase. Claims for warranty must be made within this period. Please Note: generally, not following the washing instructions outlined by The Big Ring will reduce the lifespan and increase the wear on your cycling kit.  Wear and Tear, accidental damage, wear caused by clearly not following the care instructions will not be covered. The Big Ring is only responsible for product that we directly sell to you, if you have purchased through distributor or retail outlet other than The Big Ring you take back to your original place of purchase with relevant proof of purchase details.

We want you to get the longest possible service life out of your new riding kit – If you knew how much work we put into getting the perfect cut and the best possible high-performance materials you would be pedantic as well.
  • If you want your special kit to last as long as possible – do the following: WASH YOUR CYCLING KIT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER RIDING – sweat can be corrosive and break down the high elastic content in the material - The sooner the material is purged of the sweat the longer it will last.
  • Washing - You can hand wash - but we recommend cold to medium water temperature 30ºC degrees maximum. Machine wash on delicate cycle with the cycling kit placed in a delicate’s bag or wash the cycle clothing by itself. Turn the clothing inside-out, seams on the outside and zip up the Jersey fully. The use of a delicate liquid detergent is best, something that is specified as gentle – “Wool Mix” is a good gentle detergent to use. Also, don’t put the detergent directly on the clothing. Once Clothing has gone through the delicate wash cycle remove the bicycle clothing from washing machine. DON’T LEAVE WET IN THE MACHINE – It is also best not to select spin cycle it can be aggressive. Machine washing is best because it will do the wash cycle each time in a controlled gentle way when selecting the correct DELICATE CYCLE. Do not use fabric softeners.
  • Drying - Sun/UV is hard on everything – high elastic materials can suffer a bit more than other materials so don’t put them on the line to dry outside - also don’t put them into an electric dryer as the high heat can also weaken the elastic content of the material. Hang in-side or in the shade out of the sun to drip dry. NEVER PUT IN THE TUMBLE DRYER
Please note: Cheap, low-quality powdered detergents can cause discoloration of garments as detergent will often not be sufficiently dissolved prior to contact with fabrics. Damage of this nature will not be covered under warranty.

THE BIG RING RETURNS POLICY

We will happily provide size exchanges or full credit for full priced items returned to us within 30 days from date of purchase. Sale items or full priced item returned outside 30 days you will have the option for a store credit.

Notes:

  • Refunds and store credits are for the value of items returned - this does not include shipping costs.
  • Goods must be returned “as-new” in a saleable condition and be unworn, unwashed and complete with all original tags and in original packaging.
  • Drop us a quick email to returns@bigring-cycling.com we will send you out a return form.
  • Please make sure all returned items are well packaged and make sure to include a copy of your original proof of purchase and the return form, the size you would like to exchange for or if you would like a full credit. Make sure you keep a copy of your tracking number for the returned post and a copy of your proof of purchase. The Big Ring cannot take responsibility for items lost or damaged by transport companies.
  • The Big Ring can only accept returns for purchases made from The Big Ring website and not from our retail partners or other on-line sellers. Please contact your place of purchase for details of their returns and exchange policy if you purchased your goods elsewhere.
  • Please also note that while items qualifying for free exchange will be shipped back to you at The Big Ring’s expense, we are unable to cover the costs of return postage/transport from you.
  • Exchanges are sometimes dependent on stock availability. Should an item be out of stock or discontinued at the time of return an item of the same value or a store credit will be issued to you.
  • Some of The Big Ring items like the matching Kit Shoes and matching Kit Frames are very special products. They are made to order by hand by our skilled bespoke manufacturing partners in very limited production quantities. Because they are made specifically for you with 8 week lead times we have rationalised the inventory process to the bone. This is so we can bring the unique bespoke limited release cycling kit to you with very reasonable pricing and that really helps expand the scope of match kit on offer considerably. A 30 Day – Return policy on these special-order items is not available so with these items please make sure you get your sizing right. Warranties, if they occur, will be handled on a case by case basis on these items.
