The BigRing socks are constructed with extremely high thread count yarns that are highly elastic, combine these materials with the latest construction methods using “State of the Art” machinery and you get our MAX COMPRESSION sock designed specifically to enhance your cycling adventures. We set out to create a sock that pushed the boundaries of performance for the committed rider, these socks are one of our favourite products at The Big Ring – they exude quality and deliver compression performance at a level not seen before, they feel great on and they inspire you to ride hard every ride.

Product Description

The compressive design prevents bunching and will support your whole foot arch, reducing the chance of hot spots forming while increasing endurance and reducing fatigue.

Dense form fitting Toe Box and Heel Cup prevent blisters and eliminate cramping of the toes, the chance of uncomfortable folds developing inside the shoe casing from the sock moving are also eliminated, this all makes it easier to keep spinning those pedals with a smooth balanced even cadence.

The amount of compression throughout the whole sock is significant and it is zoned to be stronger in certain areas to improve fit/feel and performance, the Super-High thread count yarns deliver a performance cycling sock that is more durable, with a softer and denser thread construction.

A cyclist’s foot goes through a lot of punishment when churning out the watts, unnaturally your foot is bound to a fixed pedaling surface, so you can transfer more watts more efficiently with greater force to bicycles drive train.

MAX COMPRESSION

Compression will help decrease muscle fatigue caused from road vibrations, as the compression limits the muscular deflections/movement transferred from the road to you, which particularly on longer rides will help prevent muscle fatigue. The extra compression helps reduces the build-up of metabolic waste which assists in faster recovery and reduces fatigue.

Extra compression helps increase blood circulation which in-turn reduces the chances of blood pooling in your extremities, which will help reduce muscular stiffness.

These socks have strong protective heel cups and toe boxes and additional arch support, you will find all that additional zoned compression and the double thickness cuff at the socks entry that they Stay-UP and in place and will not slip down even in the wettest of conditions.

FAULTY CLOTHING GOODS & WARRANTY

The Big Ring has well established quality manufacturing standards and it is always our intent to deliver best possible high-quality product to market, but unfortunately on rare occasions a fault may occur. If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us at warranty@bigring-cycling.com with detailed photos and descriptions of the fault. The Big Ring reserves the right to repair the garment if possible.

WARRANTY PERIOD CLOTHING

All The Big Ring garments are sold with a 12 month warranty, from the date of purchase. Claims for warranty must be made within this period. Please Note: generally, not following the washing instructions outlined by The Big Ring will reduce the lifespan and increase the wear on your cycling kit.  Wear and Tear, accidental damage, wear caused by clearly not following the care instructions will not be covered. The Big Ring is only responsible for product that we directly sell to you, if you have purchased through distributor or retail outlet other than The Big Ring you take back to your original place of purchase with relevant proof of purchase details.

We want you to get the longest possible service life out of your new riding kit – If you knew how much work we put into getting the perfect cut and the best possible high-performance materials you would be pedantic as well.
  • If you want your special kit to last as long as possible – do the following: WASH YOUR CYCLING KIT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER RIDING – sweat can be corrosive and break down the high elastic content in the material - The sooner the material is purged of the sweat the longer it will last.
  • Washing - You can hand wash - but we recommend cold to medium water temperature 30ºC degrees maximum. Machine wash on delicate cycle with the cycling kit placed in a delicate’s bag or wash the cycle clothing by itself. Turn the clothing inside-out, seams on the outside and zip up the Jersey fully. The use of a delicate liquid detergent is best, something that is specified as gentle – “Wool Mix” is a good gentle detergent to use. Also, don’t put the detergent directly on the clothing. Once Clothing has gone through the delicate wash cycle remove the bicycle clothing from washing machine. DON’T LEAVE WET IN THE MACHINE – It is also best not to select spin cycle it can be aggressive. Machine washing is best because it will do the wash cycle each time in a controlled gentle way when selecting the correct DELICATE CYCLE. Do not use fabric softeners.
  • Drying - Sun/UV is hard on everything – high elastic materials can suffer a bit more than other materials so don’t put them on the line to dry outside - also don’t put them into an electric dryer as the high heat can also weaken the elastic content of the material. Hang in-side or in the shade out of the sun to drip dry. NEVER PUT IN THE TUMBLE DRYER
Please note: Cheap, low-quality powdered detergents can cause discoloration of garments as detergent will often not be sufficiently dissolved prior to contact with fabrics. Damage of this nature will not be covered under warranty.
Shopping online should be quick and easy - that’s the whole point. We have a simple return policy if required. Drop us a quick email to returns@bigring-cycling.com and we will send you out a return form – include the return form and a copy of your original proof of purchase with the goods to be returned. Also make a quick note saying what size you want to change to or explaining why you want a credit. Upon receipt of your returned product we will process as quickly as possible according to the following policy outlined below:

THE BIG RING RETURNS POLICY

We will happily provide size exchanges or full credit for full priced items returned to us within 30 days from date of purchase. Sale items or full priced item returned outside 30 days you will have the option for a store credit.

Notes:

  • Refunds and store credits are for the value of items returned - this does not include shipping costs.
  • Goods must be returned “as-new” in a saleable condition and be unworn, unwashed and complete with all original tags and in original packaging.
  • Drop us a quick email to returns@bigring-cycling.com we will send you out a return form.
  • Please make sure all returned items are well packaged and make sure to include a copy of your original proof of purchase and the return form, the size you would like to exchange for or if you would like a full credit. Make sure you keep a copy of your tracking number for the returned post and a copy of your proof of purchase. The Big Ring cannot take responsibility for items lost or damaged by transport companies.
  • The Big Ring can only accept returns for purchases made from The Big Ring website and not from our retail partners or other on-line sellers. Please contact your place of purchase for details of their returns and exchange policy if you purchased your goods elsewhere.
  • Please also note that while items qualifying for free exchange will be shipped back to you at The Big Ring’s expense, we are unable to cover the costs of return postage/transport from you.
  • Exchanges are sometimes dependent on stock availability. Should an item be out of stock or discontinued at the time of return an item of the same value or a store credit will be issued to you.
  • Some of The Big Ring items like the matching Kit Shoes and matching Kit Frames are very special products. They are made to order by hand by our skilled bespoke manufacturing partners in very limited production quantities. Because they are made specifically for you with 8 week lead times we have rationalised the inventory process to the bone. This is so we can bring the unique bespoke limited release cycling kit to you with very reasonable pricing and that really helps expand the scope of match kit on offer considerably. A 30 Day – Return policy on these special-order items is not available so with these items please make sure you get your sizing right. Warranties, if they occur, will be handled on a case by case basis on these items.
