Overview – The Cycling Cap has been loved by riders for more than 100 years, cycling caps have their own unique style, they are designed to be compact and aero with a small peak that is flipped down or flipped up so it doesn’t catch the wind and come off the riders head at speed.
The peak can be used to keep sun out of the eyes or help deflect debris entering the top of your glasses when worn forward and with the peak flipped down.
When the cap is reversed with the peak at the back of the riders head it gives added sun protection to the back of the neck.
The Big Ring Kit-One Cap is modern take on the cycling cap it is made from same lightweight breathable synthetic materials that are used in your jersey to optimize comfort and improve heat transfer, the small peak is internally constructed using a light and stiff foam rubber with medium flexibility, this material can handled be washed easily like the rest of the materials used in the construction and will dry quickly, the peak being soft also it makes it easy to stow in a pocket. (it should be noted: a lot of caps on the market use hard-plastic peaks wear the outer material of the peak quickly when washed – that why we don’t use it)
Wearing the cap obviously has the big benefit of keeping the sun of your cranium keeping you cooler and protecting you from sunburn, while the material is so light & breathable that it doesn’t really make you any hotter.
The material is thin and lightweight while being highly breathable and super stretchy, we use a quality elastic cuff which assists in keeping sweat out of the eyes. One-Size fits all, the cap is a close-fitting design giving it narrow aero profile, so it’s fits under helmets easily, once you start to use a cycling cap they rapidly become part of your essential matching kit wardrobe.
